The Ignition Exciter Unit is a critical component of the ignition system used on the AL31FP engine, which powers the Su-30MKI fighter aircraft. Its primary role is to convert low-voltage electrical input from the aircraft’s power supply into high-voltage pulses required to generate sparks across the engine’s spark plugs.

The Cermaic Micro switch is used for controlling cooling control ON/OFF signal in the Engine. Based on the command from Micro switch, controller unit will readjust the control program of Exhaust Gases Temperature.

Thermochip Signaling Device act in detection of metallic particles in oil and can provide an early warning of an impending engine failure thus reducing the engine wear and tear. In case the Oil temperature exceed the limits, it will generate a warning signal.

The Rotation sensor is designed for proportional transformation of speed of rotation of shaft of Engine to frequency of the electrical signals, which are given out in control system on two electrically independent channel.

The Vibration Sensor measures vibration of the engine casing. This unit converts horizontal/vertical vibration into electrical signal and supplies to Complex Regulator of engine.

The tachometer sensor is designed to output an electrical signal with a frequency proportional to the engine speed.

The pressure sensor measures pressure of oil line and converts the oil pressure value into electric signal. The electrical signal corresponding to the Oil pressure value will be processed by the Engine Controller unit and necessary warning w.r.t the Engine oil pressure conditions will be generated.

The EHB is a servo-hydraulic actuator that translates electrical control signals into hydraulic power.
